Historrcase study
Copy once. Paste forever. A free, privacy-first clipboard manager for macOS — clipboard history, sequential paste stacks, text transforms, and smart actions, all keyboard-first and 100% local.
Challenge
Mac users who copy and paste all day — across forms, spreadsheets, and repetitive workflows — lose their clipboard the moment they copy something new. Existing managers are either paid, cloud-connected, or mouse-driven. The goal: a clipboard manager that is genuinely free, keyboard-first, and provably private.
Solution
We designed and built Historr as a fully local macOS app: instant clipboard history (⌥H), a sequential Paste Stack (⌥⌘V), paste transforms (trim, case, slug, JSON pretty-print), smart content-aware actions, and auto-expiring secrets that scrub card numbers and tokens automatically. The landing site follows the same philosophy — clear hierarchy, honest comparisons, and a one-line curl install.
